One who bore this weapon was a warrior, granted it by Father Ask in honour of his valour. He sought ever mightier foes, sending challenge after challenge to distant lands. His name became a byword for strength, until at last he could no longer live without battle. War granted him no release. He fell within it — an arena without victor or end. The bodies of friend and foe alike became his salvation, and his own blood his final elegy.
